Bishkek, May 14, 2025. /Kabar/. The Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) officially signed a Joint Work Plan for 2025.
Kyrgyz Labor Minister Ravshanbek Sabirov noted that today's event is important and symbolic for everyone who works for the benefit of children, families and vulnerable groups in our country. "This is not just a technical document. It is the result of our common responsibility, the desire for sustainable development and the expression of a strong political will not to leave any child or family without attention. This is especially true for caring for those who have found themselves vulnerable in a difficult life situation," Sabirov noted.
According to him, based on today's realities, the plan is focused on the national priorities of the Kyrgyz Republic, including the country's international obligations in the field of children's rights and social protection.
The ministry's policy is focused on three key tasks.
"First, and this is the main thing, we must create an environment for children where they will grow up in safety, care and love. Second, where this is difficult, the state must guarantee inclusive conditions for children. And finally, thirdly, we need to improve the social infrastructure so that responsible government services respond more sensitively to children's issues," Sabirov said.
UNICEF representative Samman Thapa highly praised the commitment of the Kyrgyz government to the protection of children's rights and noted: "We are ready to support the event, which highlights the high role of social workers in the issue of social protection of children."
In conclusion, Sabirov thanked UNICEF for its expert and technical support.
