Bishkek, July 2, 2025. /Kabar/. On 26 June 2025, Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to International Organizations in Vienna, Nurzhan Shaildabekova, presented her credentials to Gerd Müller, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), accrediting her as the Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to UNIDO, the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state of bilateral cooperation and outlined promising areas for further collaboration.
Ambassador Shaildabekova informed Müller about the recently adopted National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030, where industrialization — the development of the industrial sector and expansion of production — has been identified as one of the key priorities. In this context, enhancing cooperation with UNIDO and the prompt launch of joint industrial development projects is of particular importance for the Kyrgyz Republic.
Director General Müller highly appreciated the strong and dynamic cooperation between UNIDO and the Kyrgyz Republic. He outlined that Kyrgyzstan will become the first country in Central Asia with which UNIDO will launch a Country Partnership Programme (CPP) in 2025–2029.
