Bishkek, May 23, 2025. / Kabar /. As of May 22, specialists from the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection and Quarantine have inspected 79,614 hectares of agricultural land across the country.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, outbreaks of locust pests were found on 60,066 hectares.
To date, 46,376 hectares have been chemically treated using specialized equipment and light aviation, which is 77% of the infested areas.
The ministry emphasized that locust eradication activities are continuing as planned, and the situation is under full control.
