Bishkek, July 7, 2025. /Kabar/. A meeting between Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Erkin Checheibaev and a delegation of the Japanese medical company Kitahara Medical Strategies International (KMSI) was held in the building of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The meeting was attended by members of the Kyrgyz Parliament Talaibek Masabirov and Vinera Raimbachaeva, heads of the structural divisions of the Health Ministry, representatives of the State Enterprise Kyrgyzpharmacy and the Department of Medicines and Medical Products, as well as experts from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
KMSI, a part of the Kitahara Neurosurgical Institute (KNI) group, is an international provider of advanced medical solutions focused on the export of the Japanese healthcare model. The company's portfolio includes the successful implementation of the Sunrise Japan Hospital project in Cambodia, as well as projects in the field of telemedicine, rehabilitation and training of medical personnel.
As part of the visit to Kyrgyzstan, KMSI representatives are conducting a preliminary analytical review (on-site survey) of the healthcare system, including visits to specialized organizations and studying the regulatory framework.
The main goal of this visit is a deeper understanding of the current conditions, identification of possible areas of cooperation, as well as familiarization with the priorities of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic in terms of the development of modern, sustainable and human-oriented medicine.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the potential for cooperation in the areas of post-stroke rehabilitation, training of medical personnel and possible participation of the Japanese side in public-private partnership projects in Kyrgyzstan.
Special attention was paid to the prospects for the construction of a Kyrgyz-Japanese hospital using the PPP mechanism.
