Bishkek, Feb. 19, 2026 /Kabar/. The fashion event "Marjan de la mode" took place in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, bringing together representatives of the fashion, beauty, and creative industries. The event was attended by stylists, designers, entrepreneurs, media personalities, and fashion enthusiasts from various fields—from show business to education and business.

The evening's headliner was Lilia Rakh from Kazakhstan, an international fashion expert, stylist, and host of the "Fashion Sentence" project. In her speech, she shared her personal story, professional path, and views on the development of fashion culture in Central Asia.

According to Rakh, her aesthetic sense and discipline were shaped by her mother in childhood.

"My mother always sewed coats and dresses for me, trying to dress me stylishly. She instilled discipline in me and constantly told me, 'Get up, go, do something.' This has been a huge help in my life. Even the way she decorated the house—the tablecloths, the linens, the embroidery, the lace—all of this shaped my taste and influenced me as a professional," the stylist said.

Lilia Rakh also shared her journey—from her childhood in the village to her collaborations with Parisian fashion houses and international fashion projects. She emphasized that modern fashion must be conscious and intelligent.

"Fashion must be intelligent. You can't blindly copy trends—style begins with thinking and conscious choice," she noted.

Speaking about the development of the industry in the region, Rakh emphasized that fashion culture is an important element of the country's national identity and international image.

"Fashion culture is the face of the country. Supporting talented designers is an investment in the culture and reputation of the state," she said.

The expert also advocated for systematic education in aesthetics and style:

"We need to introduce style and aesthetics classes, develop fashion schools, and develop taste from childhood," Rakh emphasized.

In her opinion, to create recognizable fashion faces in Central Asia, it is necessary to combine national elements with global fashion trends and brands.

Sultan Tukeshov, plastic surgeon and president of the Kyrgyz Society of Plastic Surgery, also spoke during the program. He discussed modern trends in aesthetic medicine.

Guests were treated to a fashion show from Dilbar, Luxury, and Promond fashion houses, as well as luxury brands. The event included:

Drawing for blepharoplasty from a plastic surgeon;

Raffle for six trips to Turkey;

Live fashion looks and model walks;

Musical accompaniment and a welcome drink;

An exquisite buffet;

Gifts from the event's partners.

The evening was organized by Gulbarchyn Dyikanova.

Marjan de la mode aims to develop the fashion community in Kyrgyzstan, create a platform for sharing experiences, and integrate the local fashion industry into the international context.
