Bishkek, May 19, 2026 /Kabar/. On May 19, Bishkek Mayor Aibek Dzhunushaliev met with Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan (Russia) Vasil Shaikhraziev in Bishkek.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues related to the development of municipal cooperation, the exchange of experience in urban management, urban infrastructure improvement, public transportation, and prospects for joint investment projects.

Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Vasil Shaikhraziev noted the importance of strengthening inter-municipal ties and sharing successful practices between cities.

"This isn't my first time in Bishkek. Tatars and Kyrgyz are very close peoples, and we always enjoy coming here. With each visit, Bishkek changes and develops, and it's especially gratifying to see that the city is moving forward by leaps and bounds. Municipal government is the closest to the people, and being the mayor of a city is a great responsibility," Vasil Shaikhraziev emphasized.

Aibek Dzhunushaliev noted that, regardless of country or national flag, municipalities share common goals.

"For all municipalities, the comfort and safety of residents remain priorities." "It's especially important today to learn from the successful experiences of our colleagues and implement best practices. When positive examples are available, working and developing a city becomes significantly easier. "Exchanging experiences between cities is crucial for further sustainable development," the mayor said.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation and implementing joint projects.
