Bishkek. Oct. 27, 2025. /Kabar/. During the working trip to Issyk-Kul region, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev, participated in the capsule-laying ceremony for the construction of a solid waste processing plant.
According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, during the event, Kasymaliev noted that Kyrgyzstan is implementing large-scale investment projects for electricity generation through the technological processing of waste in order to improve the environmental situation and improve the quality of life of the population. He emphasized that in this direction, the Chinese company "Hunan Junxin Huanbao," together with Kyrgyz partners, is implementing three major projects in Bishkek, Osh, and Issyk-Kul region.
The green economy has become the slogan of our time. We are also moving in this direction, and today we are starting the construction of an enterprise aimed at developing the green economy. The construction of an eco-technological plant for waste processing and electricity generation will significantly improve the environmental situation in the country, he said.
In conclusion, he expressed confidence that this project will strengthen friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and China and contribute to the development of the Issyk-Kul region.
It was previously noted that in the first stage of the project in the Issyk-Kul region, technological power plants will be built in Ak-Suu district and Balykchy city, which will be able to process up to 600 tons of waste per day. In subsequent stages, in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers and depending on the volume of waste in the region and neighboring districts, the investor will build additional processing lines.
The total investment at this stage of the project is approximately $140 million.
