Bishkek, April 11, 2025. /Kabar/. Dancers from Kyrgyzstan became Asian champions in Malaysia, the Dance Sport Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
According to their information, on April 4-6, international competitions were held in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, within the framework of which the Asian Championship (under 21) was held, participants from more than 11 countries took part in these competitions. Athletes from Kyrgyzstan showed high results and worthily represented Kyrgyzstan in the international arena.
Dmitry Blinkov and Asal Mambetova became Asian champions under 21 in the Latin American program out of 14 participants from various Asian countries.
Howard Cholponbaev and Aibiike Nurlanova reached the final of the Asian Championship under 21 in the European program and took a worthy 5th place.
Kanykei Baktybekova also worthily represented Kyrgyzstan at international competition and took 2nd place in the European program in the WDSF Junior Solo Standard category out of 19 participants and 4th place in WDSF Junior Solo Latin out of 59 participants from all over Asia. Kanykei also won 4 gold and one silver medal in the BOC Open Solo Junior 1 Standard single dance category.
Asema Asankulova won two silver cup in tango and quickstep dances in the BOC Open Solo Junior 1 category out of 26 participants.
All participants in these competitions are students of the ALEXIS dance studio.
