Bishkek, March 13, 2026. /Kabar/. The Trade Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkiye, Chingiz Esengul uulu, met with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hakan Sefa Cakir, in Mersin,Turkiye.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, prospects for deepening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed during the meeting, with a particular focus on developing agriculture and food trade.
Following the official meeting, an expanded working meeting was held with representatives of companies engaged in the import and export of dry food products. Particular attention was paid to the trade in beans, a key commodity in the agricultural trade between Kyrgyzstan and Turkiye. The Turkish side noted that trade volumes are influenced by the quality of the exported beans, the grain size, as well as the dynamics of global prices, and other factors.
During the discussions, the need to develop direct business ties between Kyrgyz producers and Turkish importers to improve product quality and production efficiency was also emphasized, as well as the feasibility of collaborating with the Turkish Seed Union to improve the quality of seed material.
During his visit to Mersin, Çingız Esengul uulu also reviewed the production operations of Saysan Dış Ticaret Ltd. Şti., Dervişoğlu Bakliyat A.Ş., and Tat Bakliyat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., and held talks with their management. During the meetings, key areas of cooperation were discussed, including:
- expanding bean exports from Kyrgyzstan to Turkiye;
- developing sustainable trade relations in agricultural products;
- attracting investment in the Kyrgyz Republic to stimulate production potential and improve the quality of export products.
Furthermore, it was proposed to organize B2B meetings between Kyrgyz producers and Turkish importers, which will become an important tool for increasing trade volumes and strengthening bilateral cooperation.
