Bishkek, Sept. 9, 2025. /Kabar/. World markets are in turmoil again, gold and silver are breaking records, said expert Timur Saralaev.

He said that at the London fixing, an ounce of gold jumped to $3,632. Silver is also in the lead - December futures on the Comex exchange reached $42.29 per ounce, and this is the maximum in the last 14 years. Many analysts are confident that silver is quite capable of reaching the historic $50.

"Such news is especially important for Kyrgyzstan. Gold is the basis of our international reserves. Let us recall that the National Bank recently reported that their volume exceeded 7 billion dollars for the first time in history. A year ago, this figure was about 5 billion, and two years ago - only 3.

I assume that gold may soon reach 3900-3950 dollars per ounce, but then a rollback to the level of 3200-3300 is quite possible. Therefore, for Kyrgyzstan, the key is not only the growth of prices, but also the ability to manage reserves with an eye to the long term.

If the quotes for gold and silver remain at high levels, next year the country's international reserves may grow even more. And this means a stable som, fewer risks for the economy and more confidence in the future for every Kyrgyzstani," the expert believes.
