Hajj 2026: Kyrgyz pilgrims return home

Bishkek, 03.06.26 /Kabar/. The first group of pilgrims traveling along the Medina-Bishkek route arrived in Bishkek today, June 3.

According to the Muftiate, the welcoming ceremony at the airport was attended by the Deputy Supreme Muftis of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Shakir Mamatov and Rafail Tatikov, staff, and relatives of the pilgrims.

The first group of pilgrims who performed the Hajj was personally accompanied by the Supreme Mufti of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan, Abdulaziz Zakirov.

"The pilgrims returning home noted the high level of organization of the trip and expressed deep gratitude to the staff and the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan," the statement says.

Also today, 340 people flew from Medina to Bishkek, and 180 from Jeddah to Osh.
