Kyrgyz-Chinese border to be temporarily closed

Bishkek, April 29, 2026. /Kabar/. At the initiative of the Chinese side, temporary restrictions will be introduced at checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Chinese border.

According to the State Border Service, such a measure is being taken in connection with the celebration of Labor Day in China.

Thus, from April 30, the passage of people, vehicles and cargo will be suspended at the checkpoint from 22:00, and at the Torugart checkpoint from 20:00.

The passage through these checkpoints will resume from 08:00 on May 2.

Meanwhile, the Bedel checkpoint will be closed for passage operations from May 1 to May 5. The operating hours will resume on May 6 at 08:00.
