Kyrgyz farmers achieve record results

Bishkek, Oct. 6, 2025. /Kabar/. Over the past two to three years, state support for the agricultural sector has begun to yield tangible results, Bakyt Torobaev, Deputy head of the Kyrgyz Government and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry told.

According to data of the ministry, gross agricultural output in the first eight months of 2025 amounted to 252.5 billion soms, a 2.4% increase compared to the same period last year.

The volume of processed goods reached 68.7 billion soms, representing a 44.4% increase.

Thanks to the introduction of modern technologies, timely government support, and improved farmer skills, several regions of the country have recorded record yields.

The minister emphasized that the opening of Farmer Service Centers across the country will improve the quality of agricultural services, enhance communication between the ministry and agricultural producers, and accelerate the introduction of innovations in Kyrgyzstan's agro-industrial complex.
