Bishkek, May 11, 2026. /Kabar/. Starting today, May 11, regional leaders, district heads, city mayors, and aiyl okmotu (village administration) will begin a series of meetings with the public. These events are organized to reduce bureaucracy and promptly address pressing issues at the local level.

Each leader, according to the approved schedule, will hold meetings in their regions, where citizens' questions will be heard directly. The president previously called on officials to work closely with the public and warned of harsh measures if concerns raised were ignored.

The head of state also called on citizens to actively participate, emphasizing the importance of not only raising legitimate concerns but also making concrete proposals. The meetings are aimed at identifying unresolved local issues, such as clean water supply, road conditions, and school construction.

The meetings between local government representatives and the public will be broadcast live on the UTRK and ElTR television channels.
