Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia sign memorandum of cooperation in tourism

Bishkek, June 26, 2025. /Kabar/. As part of the official visit of President Sadyr Zhaparov to Malaysia, a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of tourism was signed between the Cabinet of Ministers and the Government of Malaysia.

The document was signed by Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Bakyt Sydykov on behalf of the Kyrgyz side.

The main goal of the agreement is to expand and deepen bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism based on the principles of equality, mutual respect and benefit.

The memorandum provides for the establishment of sustainable and long-term relations between:

government tourism authorities of the two countries,

national and regional tourism organizations,

other interested structures in the tourism sector.

Area of ​​cooperation:

development and strengthening of economic ties in the tourism sector;

implementation of joint initiatives and projects;

exchange of experience, knowledge and tourism information;

promotion of tourism products of Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia at the international level.

The signing of the memorandum was another step towards strengthening bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia and opens up new prospects for the tourism industry of both countries.
