Bishkek, May 29, 2025 /Kabar/. Since the beginning of 2025, more than 10 tons of fresh strawberries and 0.5 tons of cherries from Kyrgyzstan have arrived in Perm Krai of Russia.
Rosselkhoznadzor reported that such deliveries from Kyrgyzstan were not carried out earlier in the same period last year.
The received products have passed the necessary quarantine phytosanitary control. According to the results of laboratory tests conducted at the Perm branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution, quarantine pests were not found in the berries, and the products are approved for sale.
In recent years, Russia has been increasing its import of fresh fruits and berries from the CIS countries, including Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyzstan is also increasing its export volumes. In the first 8 months of 2024 alone, Kyrgyzstan exported 4,616.6 tons of strawberries, including to Russia and Kazakhstan.
