Bishkek, July 17, 2025. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan outlined the priorities of economic cooperation at the business forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. The Republic presented strategic directions for expanding trade and economic ties between the participating countries, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
This year the chairmanship in the SCO has officially been transferred to the Kyrgyz Republic. This opens up new opportunities for promoting business initiatives and joint projects within the association. President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Temir Sariev outlined key areas for cooperation in his speech:
Infrastructure and logistics. Construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, development of the Bedel border crossing, creation of transport and logistics centers and e-commerce hubs.
Industrial cooperation. Localization of assembly and processing industries in the areas of agricultural processing, food and light industry, building materials.
Digital economy. Creation of the SCO Common Digital Space for business for e-commerce, standardization and certification.
Agriculture. Export of environmentally friendly products and formation of agroclusters.
Green economy and hydropower. Joint projects in small hydroelectric power plants, modernization of irrigation, sustainable water use
“The SCO is not only a platform for dialogue, but also an emerging economic bloc of the future. Kyrgyzstan is ready to become a reliable partner and a regional platform for integration projects,” Temir Sariev emphasized.
The CCI of the Kyrgyz Republic is ready to support investment initiatives, organize B2B and B2G meetings and invites businesses to actively cooperate within the framework of Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship in the SCO.
