Bishkek, Oct. 17, 2025. /Kabar/. Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic attended the signing ceremony of an investment agreement between the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund and Orion Grand LLC.
The press service of the Economy Ministry reported that the agreement provides for financing a project to establish a modern carpet manufacturing facility. This is the first such project in the Kyrgyz Republic, as fitted carpet has previously been entirely imported.
The project will establish local carpet production, partially replace imports, create new jobs, and strengthen the country's industrial potential, the report said.
The total cost of the project is $3.2 million, of which $1 million will be provided by the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund.
The production will be oriented not only toward the domestic market of Kyrgyzstan but also toward exports to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, and other countries.
