National Bank, IMF discuss measures to ensure financial sector stability in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, March 18, 2026. /Kabar/. International Monetary Fund mission led by Dmitry Gershenson has begun work in the Kyrgyz Republic. According to National Bank, Chairman Melis Turgunbaev met with Fund representatives. During the talks, the current macroeconomic situation, inflation factors, external challenges, as well as monetary policy and measures to ensure financial sector stability were discussed.

The mission also plans to meet with representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers and other government agencies to discuss economic policy and future steps.
