Bishkek, April 22, 2026 /Kabar/. Kyrgyz delegation, led by Minister of Natural Resources Akyl Toktobaev, is participating in Regional Environmental Summit (RES) and the RES EXPO 2026 international exhibition of environmental and green technologies, taking place in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, Kyrgyzstan presented its national pavilion at RES 2026 EXPO, which became the focal point of the exhibition, combining cutting-edge technologies with the country's profound cultural philosophy.
The pavilion's concept is built around three national symbols:
* Mountains – as the foundation of water and environmental security for all of Central Asia;
* Snow leopard – as an indicator of climate change and the fragility of ecosystems;
* Aigul flower – as a symbol of biodiversity and respect for heritage.
During the exhibition, Minister Akyl Toktobaev emphasized the country's transition to "green" growth. The exhibition will showcase the results of the "Zhashyl Muras" program, projects to develop renewable energy sources, and the introduction of digital environmental monitoring tools.
The agency noted that participation in RES 2026 EXPO underscores Kyrgyzstan's commitment to regional partnership and preparations for the landmark 2027 Global Mountain Summit.
