Bishkek, Nov. 26, 2025. /Kabar/. Rosatom is implementing a large-scale reclamation program for uranium mining sites, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced following bilateral talks with President Sadyr Zhaparov in Bishkek.
According to him, Russia is exploring the possibility of constructing the republic's first nuclear power plant using advanced Russian technologies, including small modular reactors, which meet the most stringent safety and environmental protection requirements.
The Russian leader arrived in Kyrgyzstan the day before on a state visit. During the meeting, economic cooperation, trade, and prospects for collaboration were discussed, and a number of bilateral documents were signed.
