SMEs in Kyrgyzstan receive 140 million soms in loans

Bishkek, Oct. 29, 2025 /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan continues to implement the project "Preferential lending to small and medium-sized enterprises," aimed at supporting domestic businesses, developing regions, and stimulating the "green" economy.

According to the Ministry of Finance, as of October 9, 2025, 49 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have received loans totaling 143.98 million soms under the project.

The project was approved by a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated April 29, 2025, No. 354-r. Its main goal is to provide businesses and individuals with accessible, low-interest, and preferential loans to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and reduce poverty.

The implementing agency of the project is microcredit company called Fund for Entrepreneurship Development, which is responsible for providing loans to small and medium-sized businesses on preferential terms.

The total funding for 2025 amounts to 500 million soms.
