Cholpon-Ata, May 3, 2025 /Kabar/. Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev took part in the ceremonial events marking the opening of the 2025 tourist season.

The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said that the program began with a visit to the international fair of artisans and folk art, where unique handicrafts were presented, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan, as well as various offers from travel companies. The highlight of the fair was a spectacular competition in the rapid assembly of a yurt, demonstrating the skills and traditions of the Kyrgyz people.

Welcoming the participants and guests of the fair, Adylbek Kasymaliev emphasized the key role of tourism in the global economy and noted that Kyrgyzstan is actively developing this industry, creating favorable conditions for attracting tourists.

"Today, Kyrgyzstan offers not just a destination - we offer a tourism philosophy based on sustainability, respect for nature and cultural diversity," the head of the Cabinet said.

Then the chairman took part in the grand opening of the international forum "Tourism 2030: Central Asia as a Single Tourist Space". In his welcoming speech, Adylbek Kasymaliev focused on the relevance of the forum's theme, which, according to him, reflects the "general mood in the region".

"Thanks to the goodwill of our presidents and peoples, we have only recently been able to finally resolve border issues. Today we are talking about creating a single tourist space in Central Asia. I would like to especially note the initiative voiced by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to form a single visa-free space for the countries of Central Asia. This initiative is aimed at creating the opportunity for foreign tourists to travel freely around the region, combining routes, attractions and the cultural wealth of our countries in one tourist package. The creation of such a cross-border format will not only strengthen the position of Central Asia on the global tourist map, but will also be an important step towards strengthening trust, regional integration and promoting the common brand "Central Asia - the territory of hospitality," he noted.

In conclusion, Adylbek Kasymaliev announced the official opening of the 2025 tourist season.
