US president receives credentials of Kyrgyz ambassador

Bishkek, May 25, 2026 /Kabar/. On May 21, 2026, official credential presentation ceremony took place at the White House, during which Kyrgyz Ambassador to the United States Edil Baisalov presented his credentials to President Donald J. Trump.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, during the ceremony, Ambassador Baisalov conveyed warm congratulations and best wishes from Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov and reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan's commitment to further strengthening Kyrgyz-American cooperation.

Basalov emphasized that the Kyrgyz Republic highly values ​​U.S. support since the country's early independence and expressed gratitude for the U.S.'s continued focus on cooperation with Central Asia and the region.

President Trump welcomed the new Kyrgyz Ambassador and expressed his commitment to further developing bilateral relations. The American leader emphasized the importance of warm ties between the peoples of the two countries and expressed confidence that Ambassador Baisalov's mission will contribute to strengthening political and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Following the ceremony, a diplomatic reception was held at the Kyrgyz Embassy in Washington, D.C., in honor of Ambassador Baisalov's presentation of his credentials.
