Bishkek, Jan. 1, 2026 /Kabar/. Over the past 24 hours, 365 births were registered in Kyrgyzstan, resulting in 367 babies being born, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Health reported.
Four sets of twins were registered: two at the Jalal-Abad Interregional United Clinical Hospital, one at the Bishkek City Perinatal Center, and one at the Osh City Maternity Hospital.
According to current data, 177 boys and 190 girls were born in the republic from 8:00 AM on December 31, 2025, to 8:00 AM on January 1, 2026. Nine cesarean sections were performed during the 24-hour period.
The first baby of the new year was born at the Ysyk-Ata General Medical Practice Center at precisely 12:00 AM; a girl weighing 3.915 kg.
From 12:00 AM to 12:10 AM on January 1, 2026, 11 babies were born in the country – five girls and six boys.
The highest number of births was recorded in the Jalal-Abad Region (81), Osh City and Osh Region (68), and Bishkek (69).
