Over the past two years, the total amount of tax and customs payments, as well as social security contributions, received from the Bishkek Free Economic Zone to the state budget amounted to 8 billion 939 million soms, General Director of the Bishkek Free Economic Zone, Umbriel Temiraliev told Kabar. According to him, in 2022, budget revenues amounted to 4 billion soms. Thus, over the past two years, the state's revenues have doubled.
“Of the 67 enterprises opened across the country by the order of the president for the 34th anniversary of independence, seven are located in the Bishkek Free Economic Zone. Since the beginning of this year, work has been ongoing to launch 11 new enterprises with the participation of domestic and foreign investors. Currently, more than 180 types of products are produced in the zone,” Temiraliev said.
It was also noted that over the past two years, more than 4 billion soms of investments have been attracted to the region, providing 3,000 citizens with permanent jobs.
