Bishkek, Dec. 24, 2025 /Kabar/. Airports of Kyrgyzstan continues its large-scale program to modernize the country's civil aviation. Cabinet Chairman Adylbek Kasymaliev announced plans to expand the fleet at plenary session of Jogorku Kenesh.
According to him, Airports of Kyrgyzstan has already purchased three aircraft at its own expense, for which 2 billion 385 million soms were allocated. Next year, fleet modernization efforts will continue, with plans to purchase two Airbus aircraft.
As previously reported, during President Sadyr Zhaparov's visit to Berlin, meeting was held with Airbus President Johan Plissier. The parties discussed the possibility of purchasing new aircraft directly from the manufacturer for flights to neighboring and distant destinations. The Airbus A320neo and A321neo are being considered as priority models. The new aircraft are planned to have 170-180 passenger seats, which will significantly expand the airline's flight network and improve comfort for Kyrgyz citizens.
