Bishkek, Oct. 31, 2025 /Kabar/. President Sadyr Zhaparov signed a law ratifying Additional Agreement No. 1 to the Loan Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on Rehabilitation of water supply systems project in local self-government bodies of Myrza-Ake, Don-Bulak and Kurshab.
The document provides for the attraction of additional financial resources in the amount of €2.25 million, €1.5 million is provided as a loan and €750,000 as a grant from the EBRD Special Shareholders' Fund.
The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) on September 25, 2025.
The law was adopted in order to fulfill domestic procedures for the entry into force of the aforementioned Agreements. EBRD loan is provided for a period of 15 years, including 3-year grace period, and with interest rate of 1.0% + Euribor (taking into account the floating rate).
