Bishkek, Jan. 1, 2026. /Kabar/. New Year's Eve passed peacefully, with no serious crimes or offenses recorded in Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
On the day of the festivities, law enforcement officers were tasked with maintaining public order and security. Constant and enhanced law enforcement was maintained at the venues of festive events and other public gatherings.
"On New Year's Eve, units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs took all necessary organizational measures to ensure public safety. Beginning on December 29, personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were put on high alert, and enhanced patrols of police officers and investigative teams were organized," the statement reads.
More than twelve thousand law enforcement officers were deployed to ensure public order and safety.
