Bishkek, Jan. 2, 2026 /Kabar/. At the beginning of 2026, Kyrgyzstan's tourism market is demonstrating stable demand without any sudden fluctuations, but the structure of traveler preferences has noticeably changed, Talant Ozokeev, founder of a large travel company told.
According to him, the New Year holidays did not show rapid growth compared to last year, but clearly identified a new favorite among international destinations.
"Overall, we can say that demand remained at last year's level. There was no sharp increase, but the structure of demand has changed significantly. The most important difference is Vietnam. "The destination, especially Phu Quoc Island, has become the clear leader this year," noted Talant Ozokeev.
In second place, according to the expert, is Egypt, which remains a stable and clear choice for many tourists. Dubai ranks third, but interest in it is already lower than last year.
"This year, only one airline flies to Dubai, which immediately impacted demand. Interest in Thailand has also noticeably declined. It's still popular, but not to the same extent," he explained.
The tour operator also noted differences in travel preferences based on age and family composition. Families with children more often choose Egypt and Phu Quoc due to their convenient infrastructure, hotels, and vacation formats. Younger travelers, meanwhile, prefer more dynamic destinations such as Thailand, Vietnam, and Dubai, which offer more active lifestyles and entertainment.
