Bishkek, Dec. 25, 2025. /Kabar/. 105 new buses have been delivered to Bishkek, increasing the city's total fleet to 1,628 units, Talant Kaparov, Director of the Municipal Public Transport Enterprise told on Birinchi Radio.
According to him, the new buses will begin operating fully on city routes starting in 2026.
"About 1,200 buses operate daily and serve city residents. In 2026, compact 7-meter buses will be purchased for the narrow streets of the new residential areas included in the Alamedin District. Larger 12-meter buses physically cannot fit there," Kaparov noted.
The municipality expects the transportation upgrades will improve service quality and improve route accessibility in the new residential areas.
