Bishkek, Dec. 24, 2025. /Kabar/. In accordance with the instructions of President Sadyr Zhaparov, air travel prices on domestic regional routes have been set at below-market levels for 2026. The difference in airfare prices will be offset by funds from the Stabilization Fund. This was announced by Presidential Press Secretary Askat Alagozov on his social media page.
According to him, as before, ticket prices for socially significant flights will not increase sharply in the final hours before departure. This measure is aimed at ensuring price stability and making air travel more affordable for the population, especially for residents of remote regions of the country. This initiative is being implemented as part of the development strategy of Airports of Kyrgyzstan JSC and Asman Airlines and is purely social in nature. Thanks to the support of the head of state, the domestic flight network is expanding with sustainable, socially oriented fares.
The state covered part of the costs, which made it possible to abandon the previous market-based pricing model, where ticket prices depended on season, demand, and flight load, making flights unaffordable for a significant portion of citizens.
These measures are aimed at improving regional transport accessibility, developing domestic tourism, supporting small and medium-sized businesses, and strengthening regional ties.
Furthermore, starting January 4, the frequency of flights to Naryn, Talas, and Kazarman will be increased—from once a week to twice a week.
