Bishkek, Dec. 29, 2025. /Kabar/. Daiyrbek Orunbekov, head of the Information Policy Service of the presidential administration, reported record financial achievements at the Kumtor mine for 2025.

According to him, the company's revenue exceeded 124 billion 216 million soms, and annual gold production reach 12 tons. All proceeds are directed to the state treasury and used for the benefit of citizens.

Orunbekov recalled that during the period when Kumtor was under foreign management, over 410 tons of gold, not counting silver and other precious metals, were exported from the country. Meanwhile, over 29 years of operation, Kyrgyzstan received only $101 million in dividends.

"This year, dividends alone amounted to $150 million, and the company's total revenue exceeded $1 billion 420 million," he noted. Orunbekov emphasized that the current successes are the result of years of effort by President Sadyr Zhaparov, who fought for the return of Kumtor to the state over many years, despite significant challenges.
