Bishkek, Dec. 2, 2025. /Kabar/. Over the past five years, Kyrgyzstan has seen a steady increase in the employment of people with disabilities.
According to the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, 1,584 people were employed from 2020 to January–October 2025, 806 of whom were women.
The annual employment dynamics are as follows:
2020 — 175 people;
2021 — 232 people;
2022 — 263 people;
2023 — 292 people;
2024 — 341 people;
2025 (10 months) — 221 people.
The agency notes that employment growth is being achieved through the development of vocational training, the creation of adapted jobs, and the implementation of state support programs. These measures contribute to increased social inclusion and economic independence for people with disabilities.
Furthermore, as part of the social contract program aimed at supporting self-employment and entrepreneurial initiatives among vulnerable groups, 3,146 citizens with disabilities have received support since 2022.
