Over 221 thousand people with disabilities live in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Dec. 3, 2025. /Kabar/. Today, more than 221 thousand people with disabilities live in Kyrgyzstan, Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration Kanat Sagynbaev said in his address on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

The minister said that each of them is a full-fledged member of society and has great potential, talent, courage and hard work.

"As you all know, Kyrgyzstan is a state that attaches priority to social policy. Efforts in this direction have been strengthened by the ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. The goal of the Convention is to ensure full access for adults and children with disabilities to the physical, economic, social, cultural environment, education, healthcare, and information and communication systems," he said.
